About Irtyu
Irtyu, the Spirit of Blue, born from the sacred tongue of Ancient Egyptian gods, embodies the azure of the Nile, the depth of lapis lazuli, and the radiant gaze of Horus, the sky god’s falcon eyes. The hue adorns the tombs of pharaohs, graces sacred scarab amulets, and flows through every stroke of temple murals. Blue, the symbol of life and eternity, guards the starry vault of Karnak’s temple and reflects the lapis lazuli glow upon Tutankhamun’s golden mask.
Surrounding my mural, hieroglyphs encircle,
proclaiming Irtyu’s eternal oath:
“In the name of blue, I grant thee eternity; with the waters of the Nile, I cleanse thy sins.”

A symbol of truth and immortality,
guarding souls through the underworld.
Priests chant in unison, blue starlight
bathing the temple in glory.
The pharaoh’s mummy, bestowing
shelter upon all beings.
